My fic preferences.
If you're writing a story for me, for an exchange fest or just because you like me so much, you might find this helpful.
Pairings Likes: My favorite character is Severus Snape, and I prefer to read him with Harry. While Snarry remains my OTP, I also like Severus with Hermione Granger, Minerva McGonagall, Regulus Black, or Albus Dumbledore.
Dislikes: I can't take Ron Weasley in sexual situations. If he's in a background pairing, that's fine, but please nothing graphic. Also, I can't handle threesomes. At all.
Kinks Loves: virgin/inexperienced!Snape, versatile!Snape, bottom!Snape (which does not in any way diminish my love of top!Snape ... well, maybe just a little), happy endings (seriously, this is a must), impeccable grammar, snark, courtship, time travel, hurt/comfort, masturbation, grey or greying hair as appropriate, mature!Harry, clueless!Snape, insecure!Snape, rimming, fluff, tortured pasts
Likes (as in, things I like every now and then; please don't try to cram all these into one fic, or work one in when it doesn't really fit): object insertion (the bigger the better), cross-dressing (especially if it's Snape and especially if it's underwear), mpreg (I like this very occasionally), CBT, breathplay, watersports, felching, food!smut, animagus bestiality, fisting, double penetration (but no threesome! You know, sex toy, or one of the boys is duplicated by a potion or going back in time or whatever)
Dislikes: threesomes (I think it bears repeating), sub!Harry, scat, non-con or dub-con in the main pairing, infidelity or partner betrayal in the main pairing, chan under sixteen, far-reaching misunderstandings, character death (unless it has a seriously happy ending where they 'live' happily ever after in the afterlife), unrelenting angst, slavery (unless it is truly in name only), dark!fic, any Malfoy depicted as an 'all-around nice guy, once you get to know him', dystopia, mental illness, Sirius Black being alive
Generally speaking I like happy fics - a bit of angst is acceptable, but don't make me despair. I like character-driven plot. I prefer plot and characterization over sex or kinks. I usually prefer post-war and post-Hogwarts!Harry, but I can handle the alternatives. Stories in which the two are together and break up because one of them is an idiot or there's a misunderstanding followed by them getting back together much later are not usually my cup of tea, but I can handle that, too. All right, I'll shut up now.
